Schwarzkopf Freshlight Hair Coloring :: Sweet Apricot

Finally I dyed my hair again. I've try many hair coloring brands since I really love to dye my hair. In my opinion, Japan hair coloring does work a great job for a light color while Western brand (ex. Revlon) is actually darker but gives a beautiful glossy hair effect.
Schwarzkopf Freshlight is my favorite hair coloring brand of all the time, I buy it over and over again. Why? The color on the box is pretty similar with the result, didn't make my hair become drier, and it has a nice and cute packaging.
The first color I got is Passion Blonde, which is the best blonde I'd ever tried. But I could say Sweet Apricot is much sweeter, actually it has orange brown color and looks really sweet, nice, and fresh. Sweet Apricot is my favorite of all.
The comb nozzle has some holes on the cap for the color cream to comes out. Personally I didn't use it. I use my own bowl and a comb brush so the cream would spread more easier.
One box is sufficient to treat medium-lenght hair (ear lenght).
Please remember, alergic tested is the most important part when you would dye your hair.
Prepare test mixture. Mix a tiny amount of the cream color and the cream developer at 1:2 ratio.
❶ Remove the cap from the cream color tube. Use the pointed top of the tube to pierce the tube. Squeeze a small amount from cream color into the dish.
❷ Next, remove the cap from cream developer. Using the cotton swab, get a small amount out so that the ratio of cream color to cream developer is 1 to 2.
❸ Use the cotton swab to mix the cream.
❹ When the mixture is ready, use the cotton swab to spread a thin, quarter-sized circle to the inner bend of the elbow. Allow it to air naturally. If the patch does not dry within 30 minutes, use a tissue to pat dry. Avoid taking a bath or showering while doing the patch test. If you need to shower without wetting or rubbing the patch.
❺ Do not touch the patch and leave uncovered for 48 hours (be sure to wait the full 48 hours).
❻ Check your test patch 30 minutes after application and recheck 48 hours after application. If you notice any irritation such as rashes, reddening, itchiness, or blistering, wash of immediately and refrain from using coloring product.
❼ Check for abnormality, proceed if no abnormality appears within 48 hours, and proceed to hair dyeing procedure. After testing, throughly wash the test patch area.
Time to change the hair color~
❶ Apply a mixture with special comb brush in the following order (or you can use your own comb brush). Apply 2 to 3cm away from root because hair near the roots tends to color easily.
❷ Apply the mixture to the roots of your hair. Start application from where hair is the darkest. Normally, start from the back to the side and then front.
❸ After the mixture is applied to your whole hair, rub the mixture into the hair like doing shampoo and comb through to prevent patchy result.
❹ Leave for about 20 to 30 minutes (time is necessary).
❺ Wash with shampoo. I use TRESemme Keratin Smooth.

What's good?
♡ The color on the box and the end result is very similar.
♡ Fresh and match with my skintone really well.
♡ The color doesn't change or become darker.
♡ There are many color options.
♡ My hair somehow as smooth as before I dyed it.
What's bad?
- A bit expensive compared to another western hair coloring brand.
Repurchase? Absolutely yes, I already bought 3 box of this color.
oh one more thing, I didn't thrown away the cream developer bottle. I use it to storage my eyeliner and mascara.
