Cleansing Oil Review and Comparison :: Kose Softymo Speedy VS The Face Shop Rice Water Bright

Do you already know about Cleansing Oil? For me, finding a bestmatch Cleansing Oil is just as good as finding a tresure (at least if you ask my opinion). Wheter you will like it or not, Cleansing Oil is definitely something worth to try.

Many people believe Cleansing Oil doesn't suit for oily skin as the oil may cause break out. Apparently, in consideration of how oil disolves oil, it will work better to deep cleansing the pores rather than using a facial foam/bar soap.

How to use :

Take around 1 - 2 pumps of Cleansing Oil onto the palms of dry hands, gently massage over dry face, wet face to emulsify and massage for minutes, then rinse with clean water.

As I'm a fan of Cleansing Oil, today I'll show you the comparison between these two Cleansing Oils I've tried ☺

Kose Speedy Cleansing Oil

Ingredients : Mineral oil, glyceryl isostearate acid PEG-8, and ethyl Kisan acid Cetyl, cyclomethicone, water, jojoba oil, isostearic acid, glycerin, phenoxyethano

Manufacturers : KOSE COSMEPORT

I'm pretty sure I need some waxing for my hands (haha).

미감수브라이트클렌징리치오일

Ingredients : Cetyl ethylhexanoate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, isopropyl myristate, sorbeth-30 tetraoleate, polyglyceryl-10 diisostearate, glycerin, oryza sativa (rice) bran oil, aleurites moluccana seed oil, canola oil, butylene glycol, oryza sativa (rice) extract(15 mg), saponaria officinalis leaf extract, water, fragrance, hexyl cinnamal, hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde.

Manufacturers : THE FACE SHOP

Kose was the first Cleansing Oil I had tried and keep satisfied month after month of using it. It leaves my skin feeling very soft like a baby skin the minutes I rinse it off. It used to be my most favorite until I've discovered it doesn't emulsify thoroughly. It also contains mineral oil, even though it doesn't break me out.

The Face Shop has more watery and running consistency. Though the Rich version meant for people with dry skin, it doesn't moisture enough. It has similar result to Kose.

Price and weight :

Kose : ¥535 for 230ml
The Face Shop : 9.900원 for 150ml

The Face Shop is slightly cheaper than Kose, but Kose contains more product so I think the price is almost the same (I hope that makes sense).

Packaging :

Kose has cute design while The Face Shop with a simple transparent pump bottle. The bad thing about The Face Shop is it's not secure enough, sometimes the oil comes out from the cap and messing the bottle.

Consistency :

Kose : Thicker and very oily (don't worry, the oil disolves by water).
The Face Shop : Watery and Lighter.

Scent :

Kose : No fragrance, so no scent at all.
The Face Shop : Smells like a plastic bag, I wonder what kind of fragrance that is. Not bad, just not my favorite.

Cleansing power :

The Face Shop removes some makeup such as eyeliner pretty faster than Kose, but the rest is the same.

I guess The Face Shop will suit people with oily skin better than Kose since it more watery and light.
